Enamelled cast iron cookware
From a fragrant stew to an oven-baked family meal, enamelled cast iron combines heat retention with a practical enamel surface. Choose Milestone66 pots and pans according to the portions you cook, the shape you prefer and the space available on your hob or in your oven.
Match capacity to your cooking
A lidded pot is useful for soups and slow-cooked dishes; a wider vessel gives ingredients more room during initial searing. Compare both capacity and outside dimensions. Check the temperature limits of the whole product, including the lid knob.
Cook with controlled heat
Warm the cookware gradually and use suitable fat when searing. Enamel is not automatically a non-stick coating: temperature and technique still matter. Use utensils recommended by the manufacturer and avoid sudden temperature changes.
Clean gently after cooling
Allow the vessel to cool before washing. Loosen stuck food by soaking and use gentle cleaning methods specified in the instructions. Enamel does not need the oil seasoning used on uncoated cast iron. Choose a size you can handle comfortably when full.
