Pizza making accessories
Good dough is only the beginning of homemade pizza. The right accessories help you move it into the oven, turn it during baking and serve it neatly. Explore pizza peels, cast iron plates, cutters, scissors and other useful tools. Match each tool to your pizza size and the opening of your oven.
Choose the right pizza peel
Check the blade width against your usual pizza diameter and the oven opening. Handle length should suit the depth of the baking space. A loading peel and a smaller turning peel perform different jobs, so choose according to your setup.
Prepare the baking surface
Preheat a cast iron plate according to its instructions and check its size, weight and permitted uses before ordering. An infrared thermometer measures surface temperature; it does not measure the temperature inside food. Follow its guidance for distance and surface type.
Slice, serve and clean
Choose a wheel cutter or pizza scissors according to your preferred serving method. Cut on a suitable surface that protects both the tool and cookware. Use a cleaning brush only on the surfaces and at the temperatures for which it is designed.
